IEEE Peer-to-Peer for Handheld Devices Workshop (IEEE P2P HD 2008) will be held in conjunction with the Fifth IEEE Consumer Communications & Networking Conference (IEEE CCNC 2008). IEEE P2P HD 2008 will bring together communications and software researchers, engineers and business leaders both from academia and industry to discuss research results, new ideas, and their experiences in the area of mobile P2P communication. The workshop will address challenges related to the deployment of P2P solutions for handheld devices such as mobile phones and PDAs.

NRC's Marcin Matuszewski is a co-chair of this workshop.

This is the first IEEE WoWMoM Workshop on Adaptive and DependAble Mission- and bUsiness-critical mobile Systems (ADAMUS). This workshop aims to reduce the gap between research achievements and industrial applications in the field of adaptive and dependable mission-/business-critical mobile systems and applications. The range of focus topics includes: Dependability and real-time adaptation requirements and related open issues for mobile systems; Design principles, models, tools and techniques for realizing dependable and adaptive mobile systems; and Standardization issues -- just to mention a few.
