In the spirit of Open Innovation and to further promote the exchange of ideas, expertise and resources, Nokia Research Center will be launching a "Students' Call for Proposals" on February 16th 2009. EPFL Students will be able to submit any idea related to mobile applications or services with a special emphasis on Social interactions. Those identified to be "Best Ideas" will be rewarded with the latest Nokia devices.
There will be a second round for “hackers” with the opportunity to implement their ideas on Nokia N810 internet tablets. Best implementations will be rewarded with the latest Nokia devices. Additionally, there will be internship as well as semester project opportunities as a result from the Call for Proposals.
The two rounds of the call are briefly described here. Rounds are independent from each other but contributions to both the rounds have to be submitted at the same time.

About the Nokia-EPFL Application Development Laboratory:
The Nokia Application Development Lab will be opened in connection with this Call for Proposals. It is intended to become a lively space to support interaction within the local developer community at the EPFL campus.
ROUND 1: Call for Proposals

- INDEPENDENT of ROUND 2
ROUND 2: Implementation phase on Nokia's N810 internet tablets
- Access rights to our Nokia-EPFL Application Development Laboratory in the BC building
- Anyone can apply to ROUND 2 with the idea submitted for ROUND 1 but access to the laboratory will be granted only for selected students.
