You are cordially invited to join us in celebrating the opening of the Nokia Research Center – Berkeley lab located near the University of California, Berkeley campus. The launch event will be held at Sutardja Dai Hall on the University of California, Berkeley campus.
Nokia Research Center (NRC), now in eleven locations worldwide, collaborates with universities and other institutions to conduct leading-edge research. Working closely with University of California, Berkeley’s research units, NRC Berkeley will explore innovations in many areas around advanced mobile computing platforms. The new research center will be conveniently located in downtown Berkeley, near the UC Berkeley campus.
Following in the Berkeley tradition of cultural awareness and diversity, at this event we will be showcasing Nokia projects designed to serve the emerging economies of the world. In particular, initiatives such as SMS based services in India and Health Radar help facilitate commerce, enhance culture, and lift the standard of living in areas such as Africa and Southeast Asia.
