I joined Nokia Research Center Beijing in year 2000, just after getting my B.Sc and M.Sc from Tsinghua University. I got my Ph.D. degree from Helsinki University of Technology in 2007, major in Computational Engineering.

Research Interests

My research interests include:

  • Image Processing and Analysis, Computer Vision, Pattern Analysis
  • Affective Computing, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphical Animation and UI Design
  • Mobile Social Networking, Social Network Analysis and Service, Data Mining

Research Projects

After joining NRC, I took part in several research projects in the fields of image processing, computer vision, and pattern recognition. My delightful experience of two NRC achievement awards comes from the contribution to camera OCR related research and technology transfer. From 2008, I was responsible to build up and lead a new research team, Mobile Social Networking, in the Rich Context Modeling focus area.

xSocial

xSocial is a multi-modal graph generator to mimic the formation and co-evolution of multiple weighted social networks emerging from different relations simultaneously.
