Background

I joined Nokia China R&D in 1998, working on Network Management Systems; then relocated to Nokia Research Center (Helsinki) in 2001, as a research engineer. Since 01.Apr.2007, I am with the research unit of Nokia Siemens Networks, work on radio system technologies.

I received my Master degree from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 1997, and started my Postgraduate study (part-time) at Helsinki University of Technology (HUT), department of Communications and Networking, since 2001. I am supposed to receive my Doctor of Science in Technology degree by 2009, with the funding support from the Academy of Finland.

My HUT home page is updated.

Research Interests

My research focus is on MAC and PHY of radio and wireless technologies. I am interested in essential innovations in all aspects of short-range radios, cellular radio networks and mesh networks. Currently, I am working on interference mitigation, power control, frequency reuse techniques, self-organized and cognitive radio access.

Special interests are on:
           1) High-Density IEEE 802.11 WLAN
           2) LTE eHome NodeB and WiMax Femtocell
