There are few things I would not take at least a superficial interest in. At work, ideas that appear too hard or even downright impossible to implement appeal to me the most. Currently, I am interested in pushing the limits on what kind of services you can run on a mobile phone.

I have worked on a wide variety of things over the years; from implementing geographically distributed multi-user design environments, to making the first port of Linux to Nokia mobile phone hardware. Recently I have been running web servers on mobile phones and explored what they can be used for.

In general I enjoy working in projects where the creation of working prototypes plays a significant role.

I am a Swedish speaking Finn and I work and live in Helsinki, Finland. Outside work, I enjoy boating and cottage life, building things (like a carpenter), skiing and, perhaps most of all, reading. My library is that of an omnivore but mostly I tend to read books on science, history and politics.

Working elegant code always impresses me a lot more than ever so shiny PowerPoint slides.
