Background

I joined NRC in 2000. My research work has involved topics such as video games, interactive music, and entertainment applications. I have supervised the design and implementation of several application and service prototypes developed for research purposes.

In my Ph.D. thesis I examined the principles of how music-making activities can be combined with playing video games. A multidisciplinary approach is characteristic of my research work.

Research Interests

  • Music and music-making tools
  • Games
  • New kinds of applications and media forms
  • How people use media content in creative ways, e.g., personalization and mash-ups
