Markus Miettinen
Senior ResearcherNRC Lausanne
I have been with the Nokia Research Center since 1999, when I joined the NRC Software Technology Laboratory in Helsinki as a trainee. After my graduation, I continued as a research engineer, working on issues related to data analysis, mobile device and network security, and privacy. Currently I am working as a senior researcher at the NRC Lausanne team in Switzerland, focusing on issues related to context intelligence, data analysis and privacy.
Research Interests
I'm interested in utilising context information in aiding the users of mobile devices to set-up and manage their privacy policies, as well as using pervasive sensing for improving a mobile device's awareness about security-relevant features of the current context.
Research Projects
In 2006, I participated as part of the Nokia project team in the MobiLife EU project, in a work package focusing on privacy and trust.
