Goal: To develop elegant and theoretically sound solutions to concrete problems, preferably using machine learning methods.

I am currently working in Nokia Research Center in Ruoholahti in the Data Insight Program.  I am also an Adjunct Professor at University of Helsinki, Department of Computer Science.

My research background is machine learning (generalization error analysis, semi-supervised and active learning, machine translation, learning in large scale).  I am the author of the machine translation system Sinuhe (open source).  For publications etc, see my university web page.
