Background

 

I received M.Sc. degree with Honour in Radio-Physics (1982) from St. Petersburg State Technical University and Ph.D. degree in Communications Theory (1989) from St. Petersburg State University of Telecommunications (Russia).

 

After graduation I was working at different research positions in Russian Academy of Science in Institute of Nuclear Physics (Leningrad) and Institute of Atmospheric Physics (Moscow).

During 1992-1997 I was working on DSP and ASIC design in Finland (ATMEL Corp.) and hold different positions at Helsinki University of Technology (details here).

 

Since 1997  I am a member of research staff at Nokia Research Center (first in Finland, since 2005 in Switzerland).

Research Interests

General fields of information processing, communications and control (from physics up to cognitive behavior).

During previous years I have been working in different fields such as

  • Current activities are concentrated on modeling and information dissemination algorithms/services in mobile social networks.
