Background
I received my M.Sc. degree in Computer Science from the University of Padova, Italy, in 1995, then I moved to Finland and got my Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from University of Helsinki, Finland, in 2003. I joined NRC in 2001 after have worked as Researcher in the Distributed Systems group (NODES) at the Department of Computer Science. I continue to be there as a part-time lecturer, so I can keep an eye on the academic world.
At NRC I contributed as a technology expert in several projects related to SW architectures and platforms. Examples include trust and privacy topics, security implications of social application scenarios and security in P2P networks.
I spent long time (and miles) in the preparation and planning of several EU-projects, trying to establish links to the partners. I'm also consulting the European Commission acting as a reviewer of EU-project proposals.
