Background

I live in Helsinki, Finland since 1998. I work for Nokia Smart Devices @ Espoo in Business mobility organization currently and in the past have worked for Nokia MeeGo devices responsible as a product owner for the mobile office Suite. Prior to this I have worked at the research labs in Nokia, Nokia Research Center for over a decade since 1998-2009 and Nokia Corporate Strategy for a year during this period. I came to Finland just from the opposite side of the world, i.e Down-Under,Melbourne, Australia. I am originally from Bangalore, Silicon Valley of India. So this makes me state that I have been from Equator and have lived close to both the poles of this world :-).

In Nokia, I am responsible for Mobile Office domain defining and developing mobile tools to address work, education and personal needs in Nokia MeeGo devices. While at the Research Lab I have researched on areas related to Mobile applications and Services in the areas of rich interaction and collaboration in mobile business and social applications. Collaboration2.0 is the most recent activity where we researched in enabling new ways of communicating and collaborating in social and workspaces helping end users to maintain Work-Life balance. Prior to this I was leading a Program called Virtual Office(see links below). I am also currently Nokia's Country Representative for Indian University relations, which belongs to Nokia's Global University collaboration initiative run by Corporate Relations and Responsibility. As part of this work I actively seek and respond to the Indian research institutes and organizations to collaborate with Nokia and enable partners to research on top of Nokia Platforms.
