I work for Nokia Research Center since 1998 and am currently located at Helsinki, Finland. I came to Finland just from the opposite side of the world, i.e Down-Under,Melbourne, Australia. I am originally from Bangalore, Silicon Valley of India.
In Nokia, I represent for India University relations, as a country representative which is part of Nokia's global university relations. I actively seek and respond to the Indian research institutes and organizations by means of Research Collaboration and grants. I also quite closely follow innovations happening at the grass roots levels in emerging markete. If you think your research would need specific Nokia involvement or you think Nokia would directly benefit from your work to reach me for further discussion.
As part of my own concrete research areas as a Principal Member of Research Staff at Nokia Research Center, I am responsible for Enterprise research activities in Nokia, mainly contributing towards future Mobile business applications and services. I currently lead a Virtual office research program, where our main goals are to enable a rich mobile business experience by tapping into the full capabilities of next generation mobile computers. In Virtual office our goal is to keep a business user connected to Colleagues, Customers and processes while still keeping track of her/his personal life. Mobile Software as a Web based service is central theme in making a Virtual office feasible.
