Tao Wu

Background

Tao Wu has been with Nokia Research Center since 1999. At NRC, he has worked on and led several research projects in the areas of

  • spoken language interface for mobile devices;
  • multimedia content management and sharing; and
  • mobile content delivery.

Results from these efforts include a book, patents, prototype demonstrations both within the company and to Nokia's key customers, and contributions to DLNA and IETF.

Tao serves on Nokia Patent Board.

Current Project

Simone - Spoken Interaction for Mobile Networked Ecosystems. This project aims to develop novel user interface and interaction models for next generation mobile devices. This project is being carried out in collaboration with the Spoken Language Systems Group at MIT.
