I joined NRC Tampere in 1998, did my master's thesis on speech recognition, then moved on to computer graphics. For most of my working life, I've been the project manager of the Gramophone project, my main task being the standardization of M3G (Java Mobile 3D Graphics API). I've also done some work on OpenGL ES, and most recently texture compression and image quality metrics.
