I joined Nokia Research Center in 2004. Since then I have done research and lead projects related to Web technologies and Internet services. Currently I lead a team that creates experimental Internet services and mobile applications. Prior to Nokia I received my M.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Helsinki in 1999 and after that I spent 5 years developing telecommunication server software at two different Finnish companies.

Projects

• Nokia Friend View - A social location and micro-blogging service that helps you keep up with your close friends. With Friend View, it is fun to share what you do and feel, and you can easily do this from home, work, or on the go!
• Nokia Image Exchange - An experimental imaging service to make browsing and sharing images fun and easy. It aims to provide a seamless integration of a mobile image gallery application and a corresponding web-service.

Personal Interests

Helsinki weather permitting I'm into sailing, skiing, hiking and other forms of outdoor fun.
