Demos showcased at Nokia The Way We Live Next
Four upcoming innovations were demonstrated to the press at The Way We Live Next event on September 23. Image Space, a new way of viewing images, was one of the concepts that receive more attention. Using the GPS, compass and accelerometer found on the Nokia 6210 Navigator context data is gathered for every picture shot. When the images are uploaded, Image Space maps them into groups to create image journeys.
Other presented innovations were 3D Video, Gaze Tracker and Voice Assisted Input.

Nokia Research Center demonstrates immersive experiences using gaze tracking - Nokia World 2007
At the Nokia World 2007 conference, the Immersive Communication team, led by Martin Schrader, exhibited the concept of interaction via gaze. This concept aims at using the movement of the eyes to control a user interface or a mobile device. The team showed a prototype, consisting of a set of glasses with a display built in and a mini camera to track the eye movements. With this prototype, in one chosen application the user can move around a 360 degree panorama photo utilizing just his eyes. When the gaze focuses on an object, it zooms it. In the future, this technology could be used to click icons in an interface, type on a virtual keyboard or play 3D games.
