FORUM EPFL

NRC Lausanne was present at the Forum EPFL which is bringing together students and around 150 companies. The laboratory activities were:

• October 9 at 2pm - Presentation followed by a social event
• October 15 - Stand at the Forum EPFL Fair

NRC Lausanne gathered over 110 students for its presentation. We described job offers, opportunities for master's projects or internships, other project possibilities and ways for interaction (e.g. via Nokia-EPFL Application Development Lab) between student community and the laboratory.

MobiKUI 2008

NRC Lausanne was present at the 1st International Workshop on Mobile and Kinetic User Interfaces (MobiKUI 2008) in Fribourg, Switzerland, October 13-14.

NRC Lausanne info sharing at EPFL campus

The event was opened by Prof. Martin Vetterli, VP for International Affairs of EPFL. NRC Lausanne director Juha Laurila presented Nokia's research strategy and the vision of NRC Lausanne. The main part of the info sharing session was spent in going through the material of the PeC laboratory's Call for Proposals initiative.

There were many participants listening to NRC Lausanne research vision and call for proposal presentations.
